Paper-I will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It has primarily been designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. There are Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each and the candidates are need to answer any fifty (50). If the candidates are attempting more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted by the candidate will be evaluated.

About UGC(University Grants Commission):-
The Union Government of India had originally decided that all cases pertaining to the allocation of grants-in-aid from public funds to the Central Universities and other Universities and Institutions of higher learning must be given through the University Grants Commission.
